ShyFile encodes your text (txt- and HTML-files) and packs it into an extra file that is to be attached to an outgoing email. The recipient thereof does not need to have ShyFile installed to be able to decode since any regular Internet browser is able to take care of it, i.e. opening it and prompting the user to enter a matching key (key-phrase, pass-phrase).
You can also build a Web page that can be viewed only by the people you choose, by encrypting the text with ShyFile before uploading the page to a server.
ShyFile also encrypts single or multiple binary files as well as whole folders with all its subfolders in a single run, which require a free demo version of ShyFile to decode though.
